Meet the Heart Behind This Blog
Hey sister, I’m Shavaunta (but my friends call me Shae')! What’s your name? (I’m waiting for your response 😉). It’s so nice to meet you!
A little about me, I’m a mother, wife, author, follower of Jesus and most importantly a woman after God’s heart. I'm continually learning what it means to seek a deeper relationship with Jesus and live wholeheartedly devoted to Him. I’m passionate about living God's word, encouraging others, having fun, writing, reading, mentoring, and discipleship. I believe that growing in faith is a lifelong journey—one that’s meant to be shared.
Let’s stay connected! Feel free to share your thoughts, ask questions, or suggest topics you’d love to see covered. You can also check out more from me here: https://linktr.ee/ShavauntaHarris
Why I Created This Women's Blog
One morning while journaling, Jeremiah 29:13 was my scripture focus:
📖 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13
I was also captivated by Paul’s longing in Philippians 3:10, as it summed up my own pursuit of Christ since being saved:
📖 “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” – Philippians 3:10
I’ve had this burning, longing, and deep desire just to be with Him. Yet, at times, it felt so hard to truly know Him. As I searched my heart for why this can be so difficult for us as believers, Jeremiah 29:13 answered my question:
👉 Maybe the reason I hadn’t fully encountered Christ was because I hadn’t truly sought Him with my whole heart.
That thought changed everything for me. And then I wondered…
Are there other women like me—women who long to know Christ deeply, who desire to be fully surrendered, and who are willing to walk the narrow road, suffer with Him, and share in His death so that we may experience His resurrection?
If that’s you, sister—you’re in the right place.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve found comfort in words—writing them, speaking them and soaking them in. Whether through Scripture, personal reflection, or deep conversations, I’ve seen how God uses words to heal, restore, and guide us.
That’s why I created this space—not just to share my thoughts but to build a community of women seeking God together. Here, we’ll dive into topics like:
Growing in faith as a Christian woman
Healing from a broken heart through Christ
How to develop a strong prayer life
Biblical encouragement for women
Walking the narrow road with confidence
Seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus
Building Sisterhood & Encouragement in Christ
Beyond writing, I love pouring into other women—whether it’s through mentorship, encouragement, or real, honest conversations about faith. None of us have it all figured out, but together, we can support one another in our walk with Christ.
I pray that every blog post here speaks to your heart, encourages your faith, and reminds you that you’re never alone in your journey. I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to grow alongside you!
